HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR CLASSES?
My classes are spontaneous and “in the moment”. I like to get a feel of the energy of my students that day and provide a class to reflect that energy. I also spend a lot of time on Spotify, creating the perfect playlist for before, during, and after class! I believe music is everything.
WHAT IS YOUR "WHY"? WHY DO YOU TEACH? WHY DO YOU PRACTICE?
After experiencing both trauma and abuse in my life, yoga has provided me the tools to sit with those emotions and also move through them. My mat has always been a safe haven for myself. Through teaching, my hope is to provide a safe space for my students so they feel comfortable to move through whatever they need to.
LITTLE KNOWN FACT ABOUT ME.
I’ve been practicing music therapy as a board-certified music therapist (MT-BC) for over 5 years. As a music therapist, I use music to assist with non-musical goals such as: communication, pain reduction, decreasing anxiety, and increasing quality of life.
