EMILY CUTTER
Yoga Teacher
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR CLASSES?
My classes are meant to bring forward intention and awareness to connect movement with Ujjayi breath, helping students understand the foundations while inviting love into their practice! By practicing and bringing forward selflessness, mindfulness and self-empowerment, my hope is for every person to access awareness of their own divine power and how to use it.
WHAT IS YOUR “WHY”? WHY DO YOU TEACH? WHY DO YOU PRACTICE?
I started practicing yoga in 2013 during a harsh time where I felt like I lost touch with myself. I was also experiencing physical limitations with hip alignment that prevented me from being able to walk properly. After multiple physical therapy sessions and chiropractic care, I turned to yoga to treat my injuries. After previously moving from New Jersey, I found my home in Maryland and a deep sense of community in yoga here – a “home away from home.” The feeling of authenticity and overall genuine vibrations from community members walking through the doors of the studio and moving together as one has inspired my practice both as a student and a teacher. Yoga is empowering, and I am forever a student.
LITTLE KNOWN FACT ABOUT ME.
I work in the renewable energy industry to fight climate change and help others understand the importance of renewable resources!
