HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR CLASSES?
I do my best to stick to the basics while offering modifications for any level yogi. I like to offer healthy challenges in my classes. Sometimes, those challenges are leading my class to a dance party. Allow your body to bring you into the present moment. Challenge yourself - sometimes that challenge is more mental than physical. Get out of your own way and experience freedom.
WHAT IS YOUR WHY? WHY DO YOU TEACH? WHY DO YOU PRACTICE?
Practicing yoga has helped me with my mental health. I was disgnosed with depression and anxiety about 12 years ago. I found yoga and it has been one my tools to cope from anxiety and depression. I teach to expose others to mental, physical, and spiritual benefits that yoga has to offer. I also use teaching as an opportunity to challenge my anxiety. I get nervous speaking in front of people. I know the only way to overcome this is by facing it.
